Google Labs always comes up with exciting new features for its set of apps, and this time its a bunch of shiny new set of features. The new feature now adds a ‘preview pane’ in Gmail that can be set in horizontal or vertical orientation. In addition to the desktop, the mobile version of Gmail (not the Android app)  also features a UI improvement with ‘Pull to Refresh’ option. Google Docs also adds some new enhancements, including spreadsheet function snippets and new chart and drawings support. Android Ice cream Sandwich

Google has kept us anticipating the new version of the Android Operating System since the last Google I/O in May this year. Codenamed “Ice-cream Sandwich”, the new version will be officially supported by Google, as opposed to the Honeycomb, as confirmed in the I/O conference. Two Android specific websites, Android Police and RootzWiki unveiled leaked pictures of Ice-cream Sandwich on Thursday, which seem to indicate that there isn’t much evolution from the current version of Android for smatphones, the Gingerbread.
